Storytime with Uncle Story: (2nd Tuesdays of each month in the 4-H Museum & Learning Center)
For parents of children K3-K5, Uncle Story is here to provide a fun-filled literary experience that includes a hands-on activity at the end.
Storytime with Uncle Story is included with general admission to the museum or an Ag Museum Foundation membership.

Monthly Education Programs
Folk Art Fridays at the Ag Museum:
Ages 18 and up (final Friday Bi-Monthly except Nov and Dec due to holidays)
Participants must register by the Friday prior to the class they wish to join. For each class, participants will be provided with the supplies necessary, a packet of information, and personal instructions to complete a folk arts project from start to finish. At the end, each participant will be able to take their project home.
Cost: $25 per class/participant or $20 for AG Museum Foundation Members

We invite you to come out to the Mississippi Agriculture and Forestry Museum on the first Saturday of every month for our
Domestic Demonstration.
Domestic Demo is included with general admission to the museum or an Ag Museum Foundation membership.

Field Trips
The Ag Museum is the perfect place to bring groups for an educational and memorable experience. The Heritage Center Gallery
and Small Town, Mississippi provide visitors with a unique learning environment. Mississippi’s rich agricultural history is told
through the exhibits and artifacts on display.

Summer Programs
Summer Day Camp:
May 27 – 30, 2025
8AM – 3PM
Students Ages 6 – 8
Campers will explore and learn fun facts about agriculture, forestry, and the products these industries provide. We aim to encourage an appreciation for our farmers.
$125 ($100 for foundation members (registration deadline is May 9th)

Special Educational Programs
2025 National Train Day at the AG
May 10, 2025
9AM – 1PM
National Train Day was a holiday started by Amtrak in 2008 as a method to spread information to the general public about the advantages of railway travel and the history of trains in the United States. It was held each year on the Saturday closest to May 10, the anniversary of the pounding of the Golden spike in Promontory, Utah, which marked the completion of the first transcontinental railroad in the U.S.
We will have exhibits from Canadian National Railway Company, Operation Lifesavers, Central Mississippi Model Railroad Association, National Model Railroad Association and more!

All Museum exhibits are self-guided. Information about each exhibit is displayed. A map of the outside grounds is available with a brief description on the back. A tour guide is available upon request with advance notice.
